L.U.C.K. And The Richest Mans RequestIn this article we will take a closer look at LUCK and it meaning.  We’ll discover another way to look at luck with a simple acronym.  Then you will read about the richest man in history.  Out of all the requests he could have asked for his answer may surprise you.  Giving you further insight into what’s more important in our quest for glory.

The definition of LUCK is as follows: “an unknown and unpredictable phenomenon that leads to a favorable outcome”

When we think of LUCK, we may think of rare circumstances.  The following situations are considered LUCK:

winning the lottery
finding treasured items
winning unexpectedly
avoiding bad situations

Some people even label well off people they don’t know as lucky.  People they don’t know very much about or how exactly they got to where they are today.

It’s great to consider LUCK a rare circumstance and cherish it when it happens.  Perhaps you would want to know a formula of LUCK to make it more predictable and attainable wouldn’t you?

Let’s take a look at two acronyms of LUCK and how we can apply them in our lives.

L.U.C.K. – Labor Under Constant Knowledge

Labor = Taking focused action towards goal
Under = Knowledge is foundation before labor
Constant = Regular, continuous, ongoing, steady, stable, unvarying
Knowledge = Using proven information to activate opportunities

L.U.C.K. – Location Understand Connections Knowledge

Location = Being in right locations to identify opportunities
Understand = Being aware of opportunities
Connections = The right people and systems to accomplish opportunities
Knowledge = Correct & constant information to activate opportunities

Acronyms are fun and easy to learn.  They help us focus on what’s necessary for a successful outcome.

I’ll leave you with a story of the most richest man in history.  His name is King Solomon.  King David’s son Solomon inherited God’s kingdom here on earth.  When Solomon replaced his father ’s throne he most likely could have asked God for practically anything.

Most of us today want a blessing of wealth in our lives.  Some want more possessions.  Others may want a spouse or relationship in their life.  However, King Solomon asked God for something far more than money, possessions, and relationships.  His request planted the seed for all these things to come.  King Solomon requested knowledge and wisdom from of the Lord and of the world. (2 Chronicles 1:8-10)

God said to Solomon:
“Because this was on your heart, and you have not asked for riches or wealth or honor or the life of your enemies, nor have you asked for long life.  You have asked for wisdom and knowledge for yourself that you may judge My people”…. wisdom and knowledge are granted to you and I will give you riches, wealth, honor, which none of the kings have had before you and none after  you will have greater” (2 Chronicles 1:11-12)

Now you may be thinking that your circumstances are not the same.  Perhaps you were not born into a kingdom or wealth.  Most people are not.  The message is not just about King Solomon, but about your life and your situations.  What’s on your heart when it comes to what you want.  We all don’t have the same situations, circumstances, and purpose.   The important thing to remember is more than anything we need the brains, knowledge and wisdom to attain our treasures.  Not just the treasures here on earth but the treasures in heaven.

Let me suggest we pray for the wisdom and knowledge that we  want & need for our life, families, and others.  Finally my recommendation is you pick up a book of knowledge that interests you and defines your purpose.  Maybe it’s the Bible or a how to book.   In the Bible “Proverbs” would be a great place to start for wisdom.  After reading it take action with what you learned.  Labor Under Constant Knowledge.  Now go get LUCKY my comrade.
