
Alright that was a joke…
Let me ask you some questions that I want you to really think about…
How do you prepare your life, your purpose, and your success?
And for some of you, do you even prepare at all or do you just “go with the flow”
What we need to understand is in order for us to achieve what we want, hope, desire, and dream about we need to PREPARE ourselves to attract our goals.
If you’re reading this you obviously want to improve and develop your life for greatness.
Now, let’s take a look at the definition of preparation:
• the activity of putting or setting in order in advance of some act or purpose; “She starts her day with a daily routine that is structured and disciplined”
• formulation: a substance prepared according to a formula; “the internet marketer created a system to help give his business leverage”
• planning: the cognitive process of thinking about what you will do in the event of something happening or a planned event; “their future financial planning helped them feel hopeful and at peace rather than hopeless”
• readiness: the state of having been made ready or prepared for use or action “Now that the business foundation and training are complete, we can now start marketing to it”
• training: activity leading to skilled behavior
If we look at the first words in each example of preparation we notice a consist theme: “activity”, “formulation”, “planning”, “readiness”, and “training”.
These are ACTION WORDS. What we should understand more than anything is before we take action to get results there is pre-action that must be done first. This pre-action is preparation.
For example, have you ever woke up, took a shower but skipped breakfast and rushed to work? You may have felt tired, hungry and your work performance showed it.
Let’s look at this from a peak sports performance viewpoint. Do you think the swimmer Michael Phelps could have achieved 8 gold medals at the 2008 Olympics without any or even very little preparation? There is no way he could of just rolled out of bed, skipped stretching and warm-ups, exercising, and weight lifting to achieve such phenomenal results. His coach helped him maximize his “peak swim time” performance through maximum preparation.
Speaking of a coach, do you have a personal coach in your life? Well if you’re having trouble getting started in business, finding your purpose, or creating consisted results then you might want to consider a coach who can mentor success in your life.
The action of preparation is very critical to your success. It helps you get the results you want exponentially faster than “going with the flow”.
Find ways to better prepare your life, business, and even pleasure so you’re able to fully enjoy the rewards. Some examples are stretching, exercise, meditation, prayer, review, and positive vision.
You must find a way to be disciplined and follow a pro-active routine or schedule. The more you postpone preparation and down play it’s importance the more you’re held back and powerless.
Can you image how powerful your life will be when you take time to prepare your day, your work, your business, and even your next vacation?
You can probably even remember a time when you did prepare and saw its power. Also you can remember a time when you prepared and you failed even though you thought you were prepared. Whether you were under prepared or over prepared and failed just understand that failure will happen. All successful people have failed more than they succeeded. It’s how we rebound from failure and keep preparing and taking action that determines our successes in life.
